As a responsible host, the health, safety and general wellbeing of our guests and all people connected with the running of the Wanaka Cottages business is paramount. To that end, we respectfully require all guests and service providers to prove that they are fully vaccinated against Covid 19.
General Terms & Conditions
A 20% deposit to the value of the reservation and credit card details are required to confirm reservations. Balance is due no later than 7 days before arrival in respect of credit card payments. Payment by bank transfer is due no later than 14 days ( Domestic) and 28 days( International) before arrival.
All reservations must be for a minimum of 2 nights.
Arrivals and Departures
Check-in from: 2:00 p.m.
Check-out by: 11:00 a.m.
Please advise us if these times are not suitable and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Prices and availability may be subject to change.
The number of people occupying the holiday home is, under no circumstances, to exceed the number of people shown on the booking confirmation unless prior arrangements have been made directly with the owners.
No functions or parties unless agreed prior to the booking.
No Marquees allowed on site.
Camping (tents or caravan) on the property is not permitted.
Responsibilities of the Guest
The guest is responsible for the holiday home during his/her stay.
Wanaka Cottages expects the guest to take all reasonable care of the holiday home and at the end of the holiday to leave the holiday home tidy. This includes leaving the barbecue as you found it.
If Wanaka Cottages finds that the holiday home has not been left in a reasonable condition, Wanaka Cottages will charge the guest for time required for extra cleaning.
No Smoking Policy
A no smoking policy applies to the holiday home. This means that guests are not permitted to smoke inside the holiday home. Smoking outside the holiday home is allowed, but guests must ensure they remove and dispose of any cigarette remains from the property when departing the holiday home. The Smoking of any illegal substances is NOT permitted at any time under any circumstances.
The guest is legally responsible for all breakages and damage that may occur during the holiday and any cost of repair or replacement is payable to Wanaka Cottages and/or the owner on demand.
Any damage or breakage must be reported to Wanaka Cottages or its authorised representative immediately. Guests may not use the property for any unlawful purpose.
Wanaka Cottages is a small exclusive accommodation provider and cancellations affect us greatly. As such our booking and cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations of confirmed bookings will incur an administration fee equivalent to 20% of the value of the booking.
Cancellations within 30 days of arrival date: 50% forfeit of the total booking value.
Cancellations within 7 days of arrival date, or failure to arrive will incur the full cost of your booking. We will endeavor to resell your cottage booking and if successful Wanaka Cottages will refund the full cost of your booking. In confirming a reservation with Wanaka Cottages, you agree to be bound by this cancellation policy. We at Wanaka Cottages advise all our guests to purchase travel insurance to indemnify them against any costs that they may incur as a result of unavoidable changes in their travel plans.
Cancellation as a direct result of the Covid 19 pandemic will not automatically result in the loss of any deposit or balance already paid as per the above. Where possible we will work with guests to reschedule their stay to a suitable date. If that is not possible, then a refund will be processed.
